Dev Nayak is a Calcutta-based photographer whose work has been featured in various Indian and international publications, including Time Magazine. He has won numerous international awards, including the UNESCO Asia-Pacific and World Photo Contests, the Canon Asia-Pacific Photo Contest and the UNEP/National Geographic Photo Contest. His photographs have been exhibited in museums in Britain and China and he has collaborated on art projects in the National Museum of Denmark and the Helsinki City Art Museum. Great visuals from one of the most interesting city.
Quite disappointing. Dev Nayak is renowned in Kolkata and this is the first time I saw his photography. But they are so ordinary !! Half of the shots show poor sense of light. Some shots are not focused….there is no story building. The bar photos had a great potential to show talent. But he fails there miserably. Going by his profile, I am sure he has taken much better shots in life. I request him to showcase them and do a careful selection so that people like us who have some sense of understanding what good photography is are not disappointed…
